Preveza Beaches

Monolithi Beach

The jewel-like beach that is a trademark of Preveza. One of the only areas in the Balkans that combines green and blue so harmoniously.

This is a sandy beach ideal for lovers of pebble beaches and deep crystal clear waters.

It extends over an area of tens of kilometers, which makes it claim the title of the largest sandy beach in the European Union.

Its visitor visually enjoys either the deep blue of the Ionian Sea, overlooking Paxos in the distance, or the deep green of the aesthetic forest (classified since 1977) of 660 acres, which offers the opportunity for a wellness walk.

The ancient beach near Ancient Nikopolis called “Komaros” took its name from the large rock near the shore, which has now sunk.

Vrachos Beach – Loutsa

A beach that is considered one of the hot destinations for Greek and foreign visitors to the area.

It emerges as an endless single beach of kilometers with fine sand, in a wooded landscape, while just a few meters away there are high-level organized tourism services.

A busy beach during the summer months, which is a hub of entertainment from morning until night.

Kanali Beach

One of the most developing and popular beaches of the Preveza Prefecture in recent years.

The old coastal village has been transformed into a tourist hub, combining high-level tourist infrastructure.

The beach reaches 4 kilometers of continuous sand, where visitors can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea and, just a few meters away, enjoy accommodation in luxury or low-cost hotels and rooms to rent, excellent cuisine, cafes, and also have fun until late at night.

Alonaki Beach, Fanari

Perhaps the most picturesque beach in the Prefecture of Preveza.

“Hidden” in small streets that lead you to it from the village of Valanidorachi and through a pine forest, a small beautiful cove emerges with a huge rock in the middle of it.

The crystal clear waters of the bay and its “mystery” made it a place of special importance during World War II.

The small caves that have formed and the beautiful landscape make Alonaki a must for those who want to visit the beaches of Preveza Prefecture.

Kastrosykia Beach

The first beach in the municipal unit of Zalongo of the Municipality of Preveza to become an organized beach for visitors to the area.

Its shallow waters and the light breeze that often prevails on the beach make it an ideal destination for those who enjoy activities with a board or a small sail at sea.

The amphitheatrical configuration of the beach gives the visitor a beautiful view of the coastal zone of Preveza Prefecture and the opposite Paxos, when the horizon "clears", as well as a beautiful sunset in the evening hours.

Cote d'Azur Beach

The beach is located at the entrance of the Amvrakikos Gulf and very close to the center of Preveza. It is a beach with shallow waters and fine sand, just a few meters from the paved beach of the city, which makes it easily accessible on foot.

One of the oldest organized beaches in the area, which is surrounded by a beautiful grove. A fact that makes it unique of its kind, right at the “mouth” where the Amvrakikos Gulf meets the Ionian Sea, with a view of the aircraft that transport visitors to the nearby airport.

On the Côte d'Azur, in addition to swimming, one can enjoy sports activities (swimming pool, basketball, tennis) at the nearby sports complex, a walk in nature, and even watch traditional ambali, a sport of the old Prevezans that is being revived nowadays.
